Environmental Policy

Mackie Ramsay Taylor comply with all environmental legislation as a minimum standard. We encourage clients, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors to consider sustainable buildings, materials, products and practices within the procurement chain. We encourage environmental best practice in its advice and support to clients and draw attention where required to the impact of construction methods on the natural environment and mitigate and manage these risks to a minimum.

We have considerable knowledge of BREEAM, for Education and Healthcare projects, and are developing design solutions, in conjunction with the Carbon Trust, to achieve the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard.

We are committed to working with clients, contractors and other building industry professionals to build a sustainable future. The practice carry out its business functions fully aware and alert to the dangers that construction processes may have on the environment; we will strive to eliminate any harmful effects to the environment which may arise from the activity of the practice.
